This wedding was so special to me. It took place at one of my favorite venues in Howard County, Maryland. It is a stunning piece of property that is used to conserve the environment, preserve history, and teach us about both. I’ve looked forward to the day I could shoot a wedding at the Howard County Conservancy. To see it in a different light, with an incredible couple. At the Howard County Conservancy, i’ve watched my business grow. From mini sessions, to engagements, and now a wedding, this place with it’s gorgeous fields and rich local history, has my heart. Just wait until you get to their sunset portraits, you’ll see the beauty that this place offers.
Before we headed to the Howard County Conservancy, the girls prepared for the big day at the bride’s family home in Ellicott City. When my sister and I arrived there, we could feel the joy! We got started on their details, that included a cake cutter from her grandmother’s wedding and a custom made ring for the groom from Hi Ho Silver. Emily was overjoyed as her sister helped her get dressed in her childhood bedroom. She was ready to head to the venue and see her groom!
Because these two had a first look, we were able to get so many more bridal portraits captured and they were able to enjoy cocktail hour with friends and family! The first look allows for much more time in the schedule and an overall relaxed feel of the day.
Emily and Justin chose to have the sweetest intimate ceremony. Their immediate family joined them at an overlook in the Conservancy’s garden to watch them tie the knot! It was short and sweet, just like they hoped it would be.
Emily & Justin, it was an honor to be there. To watch you two finally become husband and wife and start a new chapter in your life!
