Honestly, the question I get more than any other is “Who is shooting your wedding?!” I’ve almost come to expect it! This decision did not come lightly, obviously! I believe this is the biggest decision you can make for your wedding day because there are so many different options and styles when it comes to wedding photography. For me, the hardest part was that I have so many wedding industry friends! I didn’t want to hurt anyone’s feeling or chose one friend over another, but at the end of the day – it is an important choice! I met Lauren in college, we took a few of those simple photography courses together and i’ve watched her business grow since then. She’s got a heart of gold, will work wonderfully with my family, but most importantly – I LOVE her work. And those things are so so important! I have faith that she will capture our day beautifully and with grace! Her style and mine are similar and I can’t wait to see our bridal portraits hanging all over our new apartment this winter!!

Brandon and I met Lauren at a family friend’s property in Elkridge to do these portraits. My dad’s landscaping company does the maintenance for their home and business and I’ve grown up playing in these woods and streams. The property is historic, stunning, and speaks right to my soul! Lauren convinced me to get my hair and makeup done professionally and it was the best choice I could’ve made! I felt so dolled up and afterwards we went out with friends for drinks! It felt surreal getting MY OWN engagement portraits done! When I got them in my inbox, I teared up! It changes the way I see those portraits and I will cherish them for the rest of my life! A huge thanks to Lauren, Paige, and Brittany for making us look great!

I can’t wait to be Mrs. Megan Bennett Fitzwater in just a few short months!
