The Dassings are back on the blog this morning! I reached out to Christina last month about fall family portraits at the park because I had the perfect spot in mind for them! Phil & Christina have the same appreciation as I do for historic things so this old stone building made for the perfect spot! I’ve passed this building going into the park on countless occasions, but the lighting just never seemed right to shoot there. Well when the day came to capture The Dassings new season of life, the sky was overcast and it made for the most beautiful lighting against this historic building! Finally! And my assumptions were right, as soon as we approached it they were in awe, just like me! I am a sucker for old buildings, stone and wood work alike. The craftsmanship and time that went into creating something so strong and beautiful so long ago, is something to admire! In a way it reminds me of their sweet family, you can just tell they put so much love into raising their kids!
Christina and I have some fun shoots coming up in the new year but for now, enjoy some of my favorites from their fall family photos at the Patapsco Valley State Park!
