I had been dreaming of an oyster-inspired St Michaels engagement for months. Instead of waiting for someone to envision the same romantic portraits I was hoping for, I figured I would make it happen! I decided to reach out to my friend Hannah of Hannah Belle Events. She does a lot of her event planning on the Eastern Shore and would be the best fit for pulling this together. I told her of my hopes for a couple on a pier with oysters and neutral costal colors and all things Chesapeake Bay and she was all in!
Hannah knew the perfect couple for this shoot and she was right! Not only did they look adorable walking through St Michaels together (and totally in love) but I connected with them instantly! Alex & Shane are recently engaged, when Shane planned the perfect proposal. It was something out of a movie! In Rome (ahhh!) and Alex said yes with a beautiful ring on her finger with pictures to prove it all!
I am honored that their St Michaels Engagement was featured by My Eastern Shore Wedding this week! This Chesapeake bay inspired shoot was full of sailboats, oysters, hunter boots, and the sweetest moments between newly engaged lovebirds. It made me fall in love with my photography all over again.
Alex & Shane are one of my 2020 couples and they’re planning a gorgeous Downtown Philadelphia Wedding at the Vue on 50 for next New Years Eve! I am so excited for that party!
