I love photographing couples in a place that is special to them, and this Georgetown engagement session is a perfect example. Melissa and Tom went to the University of Delaware together, but ended up in DC where they would see each other around. They finally had their first date in 2013, and the rest is history! Georgetown is where they spent most of their time, so of course, we had to do their engagement session here!!
Melissa and Tom lived in NYC for a few years where they got engaged in 2020. They eventually settled in New Jersey with their beautiful daughter, Eleanor, and adorable pup, Lacey! Revisiting Georgetown as a family felt like such a full circle moment! It was an honor to capture them in place where so many wonderful memories were made.
I also wanted to share the story of Melissa’s engagement ring; it had me in tears! The ring belonged to Tom’s mother, who passed away shortly after they got engaged. The ring was made with emeralds and diamonds to honor her Irish ancestry.
It always means so much to me when couples share their story. I cannot wait for Melissa and Tom’s wedding this July at the Tidewater Inn in Easton, Maryland!
