So in love with these romantic engagement photos! But, I’m gonna be honest here, these engagement photos challenged me! For a few reasons. First off I don’t usually shoot summer engagement photos, simply because of the heat. However, this year seemed to be the year for it! Most of my brides wanted (or ended up having) summer engagement’s and while that is awesome, it brings a whole new level of things for me to consider when finding a location. That brings me to the second point, I usually don’t shoot at the Patapsco Valley State Park in the summer months, usually due to overcrowding. But, Kacey had a certain look she was going for and I knew this would be a great option! When I got there, I wasn’t expecting everything to be so green… I mean, just look at the photos. Lush greens everywhere. But when shooting & editing, I had to make quite a few changes and quickly find locations with ample light in the woods. Tough, but doable! It was honestly fun but something i’m not used to doing! They turned out amazing!
Kacey & Jordan’s Romantic Engagement Photos encompassed who they are as a couple. Both outdoorsy & chic, dressy & simple all at the same time! I had a great time walking around the park (minus the sweat) chatting with them and getting to know who they are as people. They told me about how they met while working together and their hopes for the future. Their wedding is at the Elkridge Furnace Inn next May, which is practically in my backyard and it’s historic, and these two will be gorgeous, and I CANT WAIT!
